I was born in Amberg, Germany and grew up in a number of locations within the United States. No, that does not mean I can speak German, although I did take lessons throughout my life. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints. I love my Savior and I believe in His precepts.
As early as grade school, I believed that I was a writer. I have always had a fascination with the magical. Dragons, mermaids, elves, I could not get enough of them. I would invent stories, create characters from these various creatures, and then play them out in the depths of my mind. I even have gone sci-fi from time to time. Like for the moment I seem to have gained quite the interest in the cartoon series “Transformers: Prime.”
I have read a large variety of stories and novels from Tolkien to David Eddings, from Terry Brooks to Mercedes Lackey, Anne McCaffery to Andre Norton.
I have chased my childhood dream throughout my life, but I’ve always had difficulty getting the will to sit and write things down. I create faster than I write. None the less through three different universities, a number of part time jobs, I still tried. My only published work thus far are a pair of poems from a college literary magazine.
But perseverance, no matter how sporadic, can eventually bring things to a head. So here I am, after all this time, ready to finally put things in place and get busy on my childhood dream.
